About me
A determined and resilient advocate for recovery and self-love, I am a devoted mother of six who has transformed her life after a challenging past. Beginning my journey in the criminal justice system in 2002, I faced numerous obstacles, including the loss of my mother in 2013 while incarcerated. Despite experiencing profound pain, I emerged from my struggles with renewed strength and purpose.
In 2019, I participated in the Home to Hope cohort, which was instrumental in my healing and personal development. This experience ignited my passion for helping others on their recovery journey. Shortly after, I was hired as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) by the City of Charlottesville, where I have continued to make a difference in the lives of my peers for over six years.
Through my work, I embody the message that recovery is possible, inspiring others to heal from past traumas and embrace self-love. My continued dedication to uplifting those around me has shown my unwavering belief in the power of community and resilience.
