About me
Michael Timmons is the founder of GoodFences, an AI-powered platform transforming how homeowners associations (HOAs) operate. GoodFences automates architectural approvals, violations, and other back-office processes, reducing decision timelines from weeks to seconds while lowering administrative costs and improving transparency. The platform’s patent-pending AI decision engine applies community rules consistently and provides a clear, auditable explanation for every decision, helping rebuild trust between homeowners and HOA boards.
Michael brings a unique combination of technical leadership and firsthand domain experience. He is a former NASA aerospace engineer and has held senior technology roles including enterprise architecture leadership at Blue Cross Blue Shield Association and Head of Architecture at Ibotta. He also served as an HOA president, where he experienced the inefficiencies and challenges of manual governance firsthand. This combination of experience led him to build GoodFences with a clear mission: to create a better way for communities to operate through automation, consistency, and transparency.
