About me
A retired Senior Executive with the U.S. Department of Defense, Kim Harris brings more than 35 years of leadership experience to her work in civic engagement. She currently serves as Voter Services Director for the League of Women Voters of the Charlottesville Area, where she has launched innovative initiatives designed to inform, engage, and connect community members across differences.
Kim is the co-founder of Positive Professionals, a leadership development and coaching practice focused on emotional intelligence, resilience, and inclusive leadership. An ICF-credentialed coach, she specializes in facilitating meaningful dialogue, guiding groups through complex issues, and creating environments where diverse perspectives can be shared respectfully and productively.
At a time when civic conversations often feel polarized or performative, Kim is passionate about restoring thoughtful, structured dialogue in communities. Through Civic Circles, she helps participants move beyond debate and toward deeper understanding — strengthening trust, critical thinking, and democratic participation.
