Mr. Joseph Gasbarre has over 25 years of leadership experience in a variety of key technical and managerial roles, working with every other NASA center, many industrial partners, and academic institutions. He is currently the Director of Strategic Partnerships after having been the Deputy Director of Science at NASA Langley Research Center since 2023. His project and technical experience spans all NASA domains including science, aeronautics, and space technology and he has spent considerable time working with NASA Headquarters, first as the acting Chief Engineer of the Science Mission Directorate in 2017 and 2018 and then later as the Deputy Program Director of the Mars Sample Return Program in 2020 and 2021. His technical background is in flight system development, thermal engineering, and aerospace systems.
