About me
George Worthington is the dementia services director at the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS). He serves on the Charlottesville Area Alliance, Virginia Caregiver Coalition, and Health Commissioner's Advisory Council on Health Disparity and Health Equity, and leads Dementia Friendly Central Virginia, raising awareness and understanding of dementia and reducing stigma. Prior to DARS, George served as the Dementia Services Manager and Community Resources Manager at the Jefferson Area Board for Aging.
