About me
Emily Pochter serves as the Director of Software and Cybersecurity at the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP), where she leads strategic initiatives to position the Commonwealth as a national leader in technology, cybersecurity, and AI innovation. She cultivates collaboration across industries, higher education, as well as public and private-sector stakeholders to strengthen Virginia’s statewide tech ecosystems. Since joining VEDP, Emily also served on the Business Investment team, supporting tech companies expanding or relocating to Virginia. Her earlier career includes experience in investment sales and political consultancy in Washington, D.C.
Emily holds a bachelor’s degree from Rhodes College and lives with her daughter in Richmond, Virginia.
