About me
Ellen is a breast cancer survivor and the co-founder of Mother Tree Wellness, a maternal wellness coaching practice that supports women through every season of motherhood. Ellen was diagnosed with Stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma in 2025. She recently completed active treatment, including surgery and radiation, and is now adjusting to hormone therapy. During this early chapter of survivorship, her focus centers on redefining the self in terms of values, priorities, and relationships.
Ellen has lived in Charlottesville for nearly 20 years alongside her wonderfully supportive husband. They have two children (ages 11 and 13) and two Labrador retrievers. Having recently reconnected with some of her favorite activities, including strength training and hiking, Ellen now has her sights set on reaching a milestone she has been working back toward since her diagnosis: getting her kayak out on the reservoir.
