About me
Daniel Fairley II is a dedicated nonprofit leader with over a decade of experience in Charlottesville’s nonprofit and local government sectors. Professionally, currently serves as the Community Endowment Fund Program Manager at the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation. In this role, he leads the Solidarity Grant program and Capacity Building efforts at the Foundation to create lasting impact for local service oriented organizations. Prior to this role, Daniel served as the Donor Relations Manager for Competitive Advised Grant Programs including the BAMA Works program of the Dave Matthews Band.
Deeply committed to service, Daniel has long been engaged in strengthening the nonprofit sector. He is the former President of the 100 Black Men of Central Virginia. He currently serves on the Boards of the Piedmont Family YMCA and Boys & Girls Club of Central VA. His work reflects a broader passion for empowering communities, advancing equity, and building pathways for the next generation of leaders. This passion led him to represent Charlottesville in the inaugural cohort of Leaders of the United States for the Obama Foundation in 2023. He was also recognized as one of Charlottesville’s Distinguished Dozen in 2024
Personally, Daniel is a loving husband, proud father of the two most precious girls the world has ever seen, and avid softball player!
