About me
Brittany Nash, LCSW, joined the Trauma Surgery Department at UVA Health as the department’s first trauma social worker, where she provides critical support to injured patients and their families during some of their most vulnerable moments. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker driven by a passion for advancing both individual healing and systemic change.
In addition to direct clinical care, Brittany plays a key role in developing trauma-informed initiatives, supporting hospital-based violence intervention efforts, and strengthening partnerships between healthcare systems and community organizations. Her work centers on interrupting cycles of violence, promoting recovery, and advancing equitable care for survivors of trauma.
Outside of her professional work, Brittany enjoys spending time with her nephews, exploring new restaurants with friends, and finding peace in the water.
