About me
Bethany Farris, CFA, joined Renaissance School in 2014 as a member of the Mathematics Faculty before becoming Dean of Academics in 2020. She is a Seattle native and enjoyed living and working in the UK, Spain, New Zealand, and Peru, as well as around the US, before moving to Charlottesville in 2010. Ms. Farris was a NASA researcher sending fish into space before trying out dairy farming, casting for film and television, and international investment consulting in the nineties and early aughts. She led the academic research demystification pilot program with the UVA School of Data Science, now in its second year as a community-wide program. Renaissance school is the top high school for the Arts in Virginia, top 10% nationally in STEM, and a Platinum AP Honor Roll School.
