About me
The daughter of immigrants, Alexandra grew up in New Jersey and then competed as an NCAA Division I athlete at The College of William and Mary, then moved directly into coaching, serving as Interim Assistant Coach for the William and Mary Women's Tennis Team. She went on to coach at Van Der Meer Tennis Academy and Farmington Country Club, where she earned her USPTR certification and coached women's USTA teams to District Championships.Her professional path then expanded into operations and international program management. As an Account Manager at WorldStrides, she oversaw complex undergraduate and graduate programs for university clients, leading on-site logistics in Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Cuba. Before that, she taught and developed curriculum in Madrid, Spain for two years through the Spanish Ministry of Education and Training Express, earning her TEFL certification along the way.In 2018, Alexandra founded Second Serve Tennis (now APEX Performance Center) in Charlottesville, bringing everything she had built across coaching, operations, and education into one program for group and private tennis lessons to adults and kids. Through her partnership with the USTA, she launched Girls Rule the Court, providing free tennis access for girls in the Charlottesville area, and recently joined the USTA Serve and Lead Program. She also serves as Director of Development and Communications at The Strength Initiative, a science-based strength training program built to be accessible to women of every age and background.She has served on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee at United Way of Greater Charlottesville, mentored youth through Computers for Kids, and independently raised more than $12,000 for students in rural Philippines through a grassroots campaign she designed and led herself.She is married to her wife Michelle, and they have three energetic kids-5yr old daughter, Mackenzie and 2.5 yr old twin boys, Astronico and Jasper.
